Hey! You! You look nice today.

Good evening once again intrepid readers. I’m thrilled to have a chance to visit once more. The rhyme scheme is a tad different this time around as you’ll no doubt notice. Sometimes it’s good to shake things up. Like salad dressing for instance. This is, “Shedding”, April 6, 2018.

There are no champions over time

All will surely perish in the end

As we crawl through the muck and the slime

Knowledge of self is your loyal friend

Despite the natural arrogance

Which is necessary during youth

A jaded human inheritance

Cast aside to acknowledge the truth.

Still not sure how I feel about it. I’m just really attached to rhyme living directly below its partner. Each line is 9 syllables but it just doesn’t feel like it reads properly. I sometimes find that with 9, never an issue with 7 or eight. Or possibly I am suffering some bizarre linguistic hallucinations. No matter, I wish you all an uproariously “insert desired adjective” evening. Play safe friends and I look forward to wasting your time again tomorrow.
