Tide

From which venereal disease did Arthur Fonzerelli suffer? That would be herpes simplex ehhhh.

Greetings esteemed chums and/ or compadres! I hope all my beloved salmon are inexorably making their way upstream to greatness! Or to be eaten by a grizzly but shit, can’t win them all…

Right into the poem now, have to head back to work shortly. Having two jobs is vaguely irksome:)

“Everything Comes Out in the Posh”, December 23, 2019.

Sometimes much like an old shirt

We feel threadbare and torn

Covered in grime and aged dirt

Both hewed and roughly shorn

Patches even failing now

Their innards showing through

You’re left to wonder just how

To halt said fabric’s coup

We’ve a cosmic laundromat

Wash and fold for the brain

Flexile as an acrobat

Removes most any stain

True some marks cannot be shed

Rips far too large to darn

But don’t need needle or thread

To mend this jaded yarn

You can always start anew

We’re tied to no outfit

Need not see cardigan through

When more can soon be knit.

I do hate to rhyme and run but that is precisely what is about to occur.

Be joyous my wriggling fishies!
