Happy Sunday all! Let’s give credit to the name and go absorb some good old vitamin D. Besides, it would undoubtedly please Sheryl Crow, and isn’t that what it’s all about?
Does anything form the perfect epitome of the crossroads of annoying and dangerous more so than bad drivers? I’d prefer not to draw the wrath of the AARP so I won’t specify to demographics in my particular neighborhood. That said vehicle operators of all ages, races, sexes and any other way we can think of to arbitrarily divide each other all need a dose of reality.
Some of the sheer madness I’ve witnessed on the roads defies explanation. The guy who decided I was taking too long to turn left at a light so turned left from behind me. I only just avoided hitting that moron. How about realizing well into the exit ramp that you wish to stay on the highway and cutting right back across and directly in front of several people. Do they understand how much is at stake and for how little? I don’t see how they can.

Daily I find on the road
Drivers skills seem to corrode
Or perhaps were never there
Maybe that they just don’t care
Many seem they can’t adhere
To base rules, I live in fear
There’s no excuse for some acts
Cutting across choo-choo tracks
Shockingly unsafe actions
Binds you to lie in traction
Serpentining to and fro
When the highway’s stop and go
But that which I loathe the most
Really sets my mind to roast
So you are a free-thinker
Please still use your DAMN blinker!
Yes, I could have easily switched it to “train” but choo-choo is so much more adorable.
Also, you try finding a rhyme for signal!
I think in driving as in most places in life perhaps we should just slow down a bit and try to appreciate the journey as much as the destination. As opposed of course to the current method of stampeding down the 401 like a coked-up hummingbird with a gun shot wound and his pregnant wife in the back. You dig?
