Baby (weasel) Steps

My time is extremely limited today so, my apologies, but this will be rather short and will not include any audio at this time.  The dog deserves a real walk before I head to work!

To the three people who already have seen this, my apologies. To everyone else, my apologies also just for having to read it.:)

The hate filled rage within the slight

A life lived absent any might

Embitter into striking back

Those not inclined to attack

We drive poor souls into the void

Aggressive acts conscience devoid

Reach out to each heart you meet

A stranger’s smile’s a kingly treat.

I have not always been fantastic about being universally kind to everyone. In fact I’ve often fallen well below that standard. It’s easy to treat others with scorn, particularly if you view them as below your own station. There is some light in every soul. I have yet to meet any single person, reprehensible or not, who did not at least have something they could teach me. Either about the World or even better about myself. Don’t be the judgmental douche weasel I embodied for longer than I care to admit. For instance, you could alternatively try being a regular douche weasel. Baby (weasel) steps. Much love to you all!

  3. Liked this poem.. Love the line “A stranger’s smile’s a kingly treat.” A philosophical way to put it and I agree it is hard to be non-judgemental but it is at the same time much rewarding to be non-judgemental to our society which we love and hate!
