Good day, busy beavers, lackadaisical llamas and everybody/ thing in between. It is my unabashed pleasure to make your virtual acquaintances once more! I’m all out of bad jokes so let’s keep it going here until something pops into my head.
Today’s piece is an amusing stand out to me because initially finishing its production I, at best, found it a lunatic’s repose, despising in totality. It’s a wonderful aphorism though because instead of deleting and perhaps flushing my computer and briefly burying myself in a medium-to-shallow open-air gravel pit, we went to work and now have something possibly of great value. I guess we shall see, it’s also completely plausible that I simply gave myself line-hypnosis rereading so many times and we’re still hawking low-tier product here. Let’s see…
“A Rousing”, July 12, 2020.
Warming shiver initiates dawn of rejuvenation
Gradually each progressive lungful shallowing
Slightly damp nose commences surreptitious twitching
While immensely powerful velvet-down limbs languidly spasm
And coarse yawning bellow trumpets rumbling fusillade
Clearing immediate area of all who would be startled
Alerting those within whom intrigue flourishes
Creature rises, shaking free both trance and detritus
Subsequently banishing slumber’s concluding remnants
Burly pilgrim resolutely ventures out once more
Dazedly seeking nourishment for both body and spirit
Biological imperatives mapping omnipotent guide
Where the salmon spawn so to lonely bruin
Invariably acting to satisfy elemental void
The perpetual momentum powering life’s immutable circle
Inescapable summons to synchronous duality
It bears repeating, mammals or macro, alpha-omega forever entwined.
I said I liked it now, I did not say it wasn’t still super weird.
Had been mulling over a poem about a bear waking up for a bit in my head. Finally, a morning came where I was up too early and went on the hunt for plump and juicy seals, after which I sat down and finally started writing. Blubber is a creative aphrodisiac. Please do not fact check the preceding statement.
Let me know the verdict below, would not be the first time fluffy delusions ripped the head off my moose of common sense.
Backtracking, I feel like “line hypnosis” has so many more potential comedic applications beyond editing; cocaine ingestion, waiting to pay at the store, sleepily colouring a paint by numbers etc…
Thank you again for visiting, sorry the tea kettle was busted and I promise to have more gluten-free pastries next time.
This is what happens when you just make these things up as you go along.
Happy Trails and Waggy Tales!
