I heard you say.
Salutations friends, thank you so much for joining us for another rousing edition of, “The Blaikie Picayune”. Canada’s least popular, nonexistent, digital newspaper. And those rankings are surprisingly well contested.
If no news is good news then you’re going to be ecstatic.
I partook in a minor disagreement last week with a colleague which was the inspiration for today’s composition. Thank you again and enjoy!

“Don’t Look Quack in Anger”, August 29, 2020.
A mesmerizing thing is rage
Justifies boorish acts
Undoubtably would be more sage
Part emotion from facts
Often once the moment passes
Regrets to inundate
Like the near-blind trying glasses
Will deeply cogitate
However trapped in maelstrom’s heart
To just peer through the haze
Depress spiked passions back to start
Drive away fury’s craze
Can’t come up with a single case
When pleased by anger’s choice
No occasions where simple grace
Could not surpass raised voice
Now aware that reactions mad
Are truly mad indeed
Results notwithstanding I’m glad
Of each try to succeed
As most things described in abstract
Applying to life’s crude
But failure never should detract
Next chance controlling mood
When acquiring any new skill
Practice is what crafts might
One day possessing iron will
Triumphant in true fight.
————————————————————————————————————————————————-Obviously anger is responsible for far greater atrocities than boorish vitriol but we’re levitating closer to the mean in this one. Pun both intended and apologized for.
I literally cannot think of a single time in my entire life I reacted in anger and was happy with the result. And that sample size is quite large now as it’s one of my favourite character flaws apparently. The first step is admitting you have a problem. Presumably the second would be trying to do even the smallest thing about it. That step two sure is a doozy… a la Bugs bunny, naturellement.
Usually spontaneous French is a good sign it’s time to mosey and a’moseyin we be.
{Please mosey now, stage right}
Be blessed, my friends.
