Dread Poets Sobriety

Good day fellows, fellas, felines and felicitous ferns! I’ve been sitting on the titular pun for near a month now and when it could it ever be considered more salient? An easily distinguishable mass delusion (from the outside) shared by more than two individuals or in this instance millions of people who would undoubtedly accuse me of the same. There is however a great deal of ink, virtual and otherwise, already making my arguments for me and I’d prefer to focus elsewhere anyway.

One of the many virtues I’ve yet to perfect/ gain even a tiny morsel of, is patience. It’s on the list though, I swear. Let’s all say hello to Karen.

Impatience is a feckless shrew 

Longer the wait the larger grew 

Fanning a flame of righteous zilch 

Sanity solidly may filch 

Building nonsense tower of cards 

Must be fought down by bored home guards 

Irrelevant’s cause of delay 

Your friendly duty’s to allay 

Silence screaming petulant voice 

At end of the day it’s my choice 

Regardless any lengthy halt

Maintain secure infernal vault. 

————————————————————————————————————————————————-The sad part is a couple days after writing this I was something of a dick to a blissfully unaware couple of goofs (other shoppers, NEVER employees) at the grocery store. They weren’t so much rude as utterly oblivious and I still feel kind of bad about it. Then again, if you leave the moronic unchecked you end up with America. Perhaps just approach it in a slightly more productive fashion than I did. Like dresses with pockets.
